Iran's IRGC to announce restricted maritime zone from Chabahar to Gulf of Oman
The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps said it will soon publish coordinates for a new restricted sea zone stretching from Chabahar into the Gulf of Oman and Arabian Sea, affecting vessels that enter or later attempt the Strait of Hormuz.
Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps announced plans to define a limited maritime area covering waters from the port of Chabahar through parts of the Gulf of Oman and the Arabian Sea. The IRGC will release exact boundaries shortly. Any ship entering the zone will face suspension of maritime, insurance and logistical services, and the restrictions will also apply to vessels that later try to pass the Strait of Hormuz.
