Irene Montero drops Podemos branding in bid to revamp campaign image

Irene Montero has removed the traditional Podemos logo and purple colour from her campaign materials, focusing on her name and policy proposals.

After a disappointing election cycle that saw Podemos lose many regional seats and fall to the mixed group in the Congress, Irene Montero decided to run her campaign without the party’s logo or its iconic purple hue. The redesign centres on her personal name and a set of policy priorities that stress affordable housing, financial stability and decent working conditions. Promotional items like leaflets and buttons now display only "Irene" as the main identifier.

A dedicated website, www.pazcasaytrabajo.es, mirrors this approach, showing Montero’s image and name at the top while omitting any reference to Podemos. The party explains that the new visual language is meant to be direct, recognizable and focused on everyday concerns of citizens.

Why it matters

The move signals a strategic rebranding that could reshape Podemos' appeal ahead of upcoming elections.
