IRGC chief claims Iran's missile campaign proves Islam can dominate the world

On Saturday, Ahmad Vahidi, the leader of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, issued a statement declaring that Iran’s six-month war effort against the United States, including missile launches at U.S. bases and allied infrastructure across the Gulf, confirms that Islam can be made to rule the world. Vahidi praised the combined actions of the IRGC, Iran’s regular army, police and Basij forces for allegedly bringing “the most heavily armed army in the history of the world” to its knees.

He also said Iran had opened the gates of uprising for oppressed peoples globally, even as many attacks have targeted neighboring Islamic states that host U.S. facilities. U.S. intelligence reports a naval presence around the Strait of Hormuz has largely neutralized Iran’s navy and many of its missiles, while early U.S. and Israeli strikes eliminated much of Iran’s political leadership. Despite these setbacks, the Iranian regime remains intact and negotiations to end the conflict continue to stall.
