Irn-Bru calls for tips after thieves steal £30,000 worth of orange bottles
A trailer loaded with nearly £30,000 of Irn-Bru bottles was taken from a Cumbernauld site on September 27, and the brand is urging the public to alert Police Scotland.
Investigators are probing a robbery in which a trailer containing pallets of Irn-Bru bottles, valued at almost £30,000, was stolen from a location on Little Drum Road, Cumbernauld, just before 6 p.m. on September 27. The brand’s director, Kenny Nicholson, remarked that the thieves overlooked the drink’s iconic orange colour, making it hard to conceal. Irn-Bru has asked the public to report any sighting of an unusually high stock of the beverage.
Police Scotland confirmed the enquiry remains active and provided a reference number for tips. The company hopes the culprits will be caught “orange-handed” as the investigation proceeds.
