Israel's Oscar hopeful 'Tell Me Everything' wins Ophir Best Picture

Moshe Rosenthal's second feature, 'Tell Me Everything', was voted Best Picture at the Ophir Awards, guaranteeing its place as Israel's contender for the Best International Feature Film at the 99th Oscars. Set against the 1980s rise of HIV, the story tracks 12-year-old Boaz, played by Yair Mazor, as he learns a shocking truth about his father and later, as an adult portrayed by Ido Tako, seeks reconciliation. The film also stars Assi Cohen, Keren Tzur, Mor Dimri and Neta Orbach.

It garnered ten trophies from sixteen nominations, reflecting strong industry support. Producers include Alona Refua, Maya Fischer, Roi Kurland, Gal Greenspan, Ben Giladi, Moshe Edery, Leon Edery, with co-production by Émilie Georges and Naima Abed of Paradise City, and executive producers Jonathan Margolis and Isaac Zablocki. Paradise City Sales manages worldwide distribution. The Ophir Awards recently faced a funding controversy after awarding an Arabic-language drama, prompting culture minister Miki Zohar to threaten cuts.
