Lebanese health officials confirmed that an Israeli air strike on a motorcycle in Kfar Reman killed two individuals. The blast occurred near Nabatieh, close to the strategic Ali al-Taher ridge, which the Israeli army says it now controls, though Hezbollah has not verified the loss. Defence Minister Israel Katz said Israeli forces eliminated Hezbollah operatives hidden in tunnels under the ridge, a key high ground overlooking the area.
In the same wave of operations, artillery and raids struck seven towns across the Tyre and Nabatieh districts without causing further deaths. The violence continues despite two ceasefires brokered by the United States in early June, the first demanding a full halt of Hezbollah fire and the second linking Israeli withdrawal to Hezbollah disarmament. Since the latest escalation began on March 2, Lebanese authorities report over 4,000 deaths and at least 12,000 injuries, with more than a million displaced. On Friday, Israel also transferred four Lebanese detainees back to Lebanon via the International Committee of the Red Cross.
