Israeli double-tap drone strike in Gaza kills teenager and wounds paramedic
A double-tap air strike by an Israeli drone in Gaza City killed 15-year-old Mohammad Abdul Zinati and injured Civil Defence paramedic Sharif Shadi Labad, despite the October cease-fire.
On Tuesday, an Israeli drone carried out a double-tap strike in Gaza City's Sheikh Radwan area, first targeting a crowd and then bombing the same location as aid workers gathered. The second explosion, believed to be a Mikholit guided glide bomb, killed 15-year-old schoolboy Mohammad Abdul Zinati and wounded Civil Defence paramedic Sharif Shadi Labad. Zinati's father described his son returning from school when the strike hit, and video showed his body shrouded outside al-Shifa Hospital.
Palestinian media documented rescuers attempting to aid Labad before the second blast, and a funeral procession later displayed his shrouded body. Since the cease-fire announced in October 2025, at least 1,381 people have been killed and 4,757 wounded in Gaza, while overall war casualties since October 2023 exceed 73,795 deaths and 174,869 injuries. UNICEF warned that a cease-fire leaving an average of one child dead each day is failing children, and Gaza's Health Ministry cautioned that the health system is on the brink of total collapse.
