Community representative Thaer Basharat says the pressure is intended to force the village’s abandonment, while Israeli officials argue the measures address security and land-use regulations in Area C. The situation highlights the broader deterioration of living conditions for rural Palestinians in the Jordan Valley since the Gaza war began in October 2023.
