Israeli forces kill Hamas Khan Younis brigade chief and two militants

The Israeli Defense Forces and Shin Bet said they eliminated Muhammad Yazouri, commander of Hamas’ Khan Younis brigade, along with two other fighters in a targeted strike.

The Israeli Defense Forces, together with the internal security agency Shin Bet, carried out a precise strike in the Khan Younis region that resulted in the death of Muhammad Yazouri, the commander of Hamas’ Khan Younis brigade. Yazouri rose through the ranks, serving as deputy commander, combat-support battalion chief, and head of the brigade’s intelligence unit before assuming overall command. The operation also eliminated two other Hamas operatives, company commander Hudheifa Muammar and member Muhammad Bahjat Rashi.

Israeli statements emphasized that the attack employed pinpoint munitions and aerial surveillance to reduce civilian casualties. The Southern Command continues to keep forces deployed in the area to neutralize any immediate dangers. The strike is part of broader efforts to disrupt Hamas’ ability to plan and execute attacks against Israeli forces and civilians.
