Israeli man indicted for alleged participation in foreign intelligence influence scheme
Israeli security services have charged a citizen with security offenses for allegedly acting on behalf of foreign intelligence operatives.
The Shin Bet and police arrested the individual after he arrived at Ben Gurion Airport and detained him for questioning. Prosecutors filed an indictment and requested continued custody throughout the legal process. Authorities claim the suspect was recruited by foreign agents and took part in a hostile influence operation targeting Israel.
