Israeli strike on Gaza home kills Ahmad family of four, including two children

Palestinian health officials said an Israeli strike on a residence in the Beit Lahia Project area killed the Ahmad family—father, mother and their 8- and 12-year-old daughters. The bodies were recovered in pieces at al-Shifa Hospital. The attack came amid a series of house bombings and fire on displaced-person tents in Jabalia, with Israeli forces also targeting ambulances and a hospital vicinity.

Palestinian health officials reported that an Israeli airstrike on a house in the Beit Lahia Project area of northern Gaza killed the Ahmad family—father, mother and their two daughters, aged 8 and 12. al-Shifa Hospital in Gaza City said the bodies were found in fragments. The strike occurred after midnight and was part of a recent wave of house bombings, with at least six homes hit in the past two days, prompting many families to flee.

Israeli warplanes also fired on tents in the Jabalia refugee camp, hitting displaced-person shelters, ambulances and near Kamal Adwan Hospital, while naval vessels opened fire off Khan Younis. The attacks breach the U.S.-backed cease-fire that has been in effect since October 2025, under which more than 1,300 Palestinians have been killed. The Israeli military offered no comment, and Gaza’s government media office denied that civilian homes were legitimate targets.
