Israeli troops raid Yasouf homes and install new checkpoints around Bethlehem

Israeli soldiers entered Yasouf in the West Bank to search residences, while additional roadblocks were erected at several entrances to Bethlehem.

Security forces from Israel conducted house searches in the town of Yasouf, located east of Salfit in the occupied West Bank. On the same night, they established a series of military checkpoints at the main approaches to Bethlehem, including the Qabr Hilweh and al-Nashash areas, the southern gate of the governorate, as well as Ras Beit Jala and Aqabat Hasna to the west.

Why it matters

The raids and new checkpoints tighten Israeli control over movement in the West Bank, affecting daily life for Palestinians.
