Istat's 2025 survey shows that 7.8% of women in Italy experienced sexual violence before age 16, down from 10.6% in 2014.

The national statistics agency released data indicating that 7.8% of Italian women aged 16 to 70 reported sexual abuse before turning 16 in 2025. This marks a reduction from the 10.6% recorded in 2014. The study also notes that 8.2% of native Italian women and 3.4% of foreign women reported such experiences, both lower than previous figures. Four forms of abuse were surveyed, including forced nudity and non-consensual sexual acts.
