Italian fuel prices fall as major retailers impose price caps
Average gasoline and diesel prices in Italy dropped after Eni, IP and Q8 introduced temporary price limits at their stations.
The Ministry for Business and Made in Italy reported a decline in fuel costs following price caps set by Eni, IP and Q8. Unleaded petrol at self-service pumps fell to €2.111 per litre, while diesel dropped to €2.316 per litre. The caps, announced for a 30-day period, set maximum prices at €1.99 for petrol and €2.19 for diesel.
