Prosecutors in Rome and Venice directed the investigation, focusing on participants in private online circles such as “Chat del Nuovo ordine europeo” and “Fronte Fascista Italiano,” where users praised Hitler, Brenton Tarrant and other mass-shooters, circulated antisemitic and racist material, and distributed detailed bomb-making guides.
Searches yielded knives, Nazi flags, electronic equipment and instructional manuals. The suspects are linked to the broader “accelerazionista,” supremacist and neo-Nazi web sphere active throughout Italy. Investigators are still determining the extent of each participant’s involvement and any plans for violent action, highlighting ongoing concerns about far-right radicalisation among youth.
