ITV says it hopes Sir Tom Jones will stay on The Voice UK
ITV says it is in talks with Sir Tom Jones and remains optimistic that he will return as a coach for the next series of The Voice UK despite recent speculation about his departure.
ITV has told reporters it is still negotiating with Sir Tom Jones and is hopeful he will reprise his role as a coach on The Voice UK for the upcoming series. The speculation that he might be removed ahead of the 2027 edition has been circulating, but a network one outlet said the channel values his involvement. In the latest season, Sir Tom sat on the panel together with Tom Fletcher, Danny Jones, Will.i.am and Kelly Rowland, after having coached with numerous other musicians over the years.
His tenure on the show includes three winning contestants: Leanne Mitchell, Ruti Olajugbagbe and Anthonia Edwards. Sir Tom, whose career spans more than six decades and includes multiple awards and a knighthood, first joined the series when ITV acquired the format from one outlet One in 2015. He previously left the programme in 2016 after a brief stint on one outlet version.
