Jaguar Land Rover India boosts NCR footprint with new Delhi hub and Gurugram showroom
Jaguar Land Rover India has moved to a larger facility in Delhi and opened a new dealership in Gurugram, calling the National Capital Region a key growth market.
Jaguar Land Rover India is expanding its presence in the National Capital Region by shifting its Delhi dealership to a larger integrated facility on Mathura Road in South Delhi and adding a new showroom in Gurugram, Haryana. Managing Director Rajan Amba described the move as a reinforcement of JLR's retail and after-sales capabilities in what he termed an "important market." The expansion brings the company's retail footprint to 33 outlets across 26 cities nationwide, in partnership with AMP Motors. During the June quarter, JLR India recorded sales of 1,665 vehicles, an 11% increase compared with the previous year, while wholesale dispatches rose 4% to 1,694 units, with the Range Rover, Range Rover Sport and Defender accounting for over 85% of sales.
Why it matters
The expansion signals Jaguar Land Rover's confidence in India's luxury car market and could boost competition and employment in the region.
