Jaguar Land Rover unveils the first fully electric Range Rover

Jaguar Land Rover finally released the Range Rover Electric, originally announced in December 2023 and postponed due to extended testing. The vehicle is powered by two 260-kilowatt motors that produce 542 horsepower and 850 newton-metres of torque, with acceleration to 60 mph in about 4.3 seconds. Its double-stacked 118.5-kWh battery supports 800-volt split-charging, reaching 80 percent capacity in 22 minutes and delivering a WLTP-rated range of 372 miles.

Pricing in the United Kingdom begins at £154,070 for the entry-level Autobiography and climbs to £225,240 for the SV Black long-wheelbase, with higher-end “Ultra” variants quoted on request. Off-road performance includes motor-speed control within 50 milliseconds, slip management 100 times faster than comparable combustion models, single-pedal driving on steep climbs, and water fording up to 900 mm. JLR backs the model with an eight-year or 100,000-mile warranty after extensive vibration, temperature and durability testing.
