Jamahal Hill sets sights on undefeated heavyweight Josh Hokit

Former light-heavyweight champion Jamahal Hill announced his intention to move up to the UFC heavyweight division and target unbeaten fighter Josh Hokit.

Jamahal Hill, the former UFC light-heavyweight champion, confirmed plans to transition to the heavyweight division before the year ends. Rather than climbing the heavyweight rankings gradually, Hill wants a top-five challenge right away, specifically targeting the undefeated Josh Hokit. Hill’s recent record includes a title win over Glover Teixeira followed by injuries and three consecutive losses.

He argues that his aggressive pressure and punching power should be effective at the higher weight. Hokit, who is 10-0, most recently defeated Derrick Lewis at UFC Freedom 250 and is currently feuding with former two-division champion Alex Pereira. Hill’s move adds another high-profile name to the heavyweight roster.

Why it matters

Hill’s jump to heavyweight could reshape the division’s contender landscape.
