Jamaican dancehall star mourns son after fatal Brooklyn stabbing

Dancehall veteran Michael Davey, popularly known as Powerman, announced that his 25-year-old son Christopher was fatally stabbed in Brooklyn on Friday evening. The attack occurred around 5:30 p.m. near the corner of Albany Avenue and Linden Boulevard as Christopher was on his way to a laundromat for his mother. He suffered two stab wounds, was rushed to Kings County Hospital in critical condition, and later died.

Davey, who previously lost a 32-year-old stepson in upstate New York, described the killing as "wicked" and called for the killers to be brought to justice, emphasizing community safety. Police reported two men fleeing the scene in a dark sedan, but have not identified them. Davey visited the crime scene, noting evidence such as a black scissors and blood on the sidewalk, though officials could not confirm the scissors as the weapon.
