James Wehr's widow hires lawyer to probe water-slick crash that killed him and a Hooters model
Emma Wehr has retained attorney Corey Higgins to investigate the Irvine McLaren crash that killed her husband James Wehr and model Alexis “Lexi” Kramer, focusing on the source of water on the road.
Following the fatal September 13 crash in Irvine that killed James Wehr, founder of South OC Cars and Coffee, and Hooters model Alexis “Lexi” Kramer, his wife Emma Wehr hired lawyer Corey Higgins of iAccidentLawyer to lead an inquiry. Footage obtained by media shows the McLaren speeding onto a damp section of pavement, braking, then veering into a tree and igniting. Higgins announced an investigation into the origin of the water, its duration on the roadway, and potential responsible parties.
The inquiry will also review the car’s crashworthiness and safety systems to see if they performed as expected. Kramer had traveled from Lakeland, Florida, to spend the weekend with Wehr, who was reportedly separating from his wife. The incident occurred at the intersection of Culver Drive and Deerfield Avenue in Irvine.
