Jammu NIA Court Refuses Bail for Insha Jan, Orders Prison Medical Care

A court of the National Investigation Agency in Jammu denied bail to Insha Jan, an accused in the Pulwama terror case, and instructed jail officials to provide her with medical treatment.

The NIA tribunal in Jammu rejected the bail plea of Insha Jan, also known as Insha Tariq, who is facing charges linked to the Pulwama terrorist attack. Judges cited that the trial is already in progress and that witnesses are currently being examined, making release risky. The ruling also directed prison authorities to ensure the accused receives appropriate health care while in custody.

Why it matters

The denial keeps a key suspect in custody, preserving the integrity of the Pulwama attack trial.
