Japan records seventh consecutive month of real wage growth in July
July's data show Japan's real wages rose 2.4% year-on-year, marking the seventh month in a row of increases.
According to government figures, real wages in Japan climbed 2.4% in July compared with the same month last year. This is the seventh straight month of growth. Nominal earnings per worker, which include base salary and overtime, rose 4.7% to 436,401 yen. The rise in nominal pay has now exceeded 3% for six months, a streak not seen in over three decades.
