Jared Kushner and Ivanka Trump scout Malibu homes as brother Joshua joins Lakers purchase

Jared Kushner and Ivanka Trump were seen touring luxury listings in Malibu, while Joshua Kushner announced a $12.5 billion acquisition of the Los Angeles Lakers with Bob Iger.

While enjoying a meal at Nobu Malibu under Secret Service protection, Jared Kushner and Ivanka Trump spent the day inspecting multiple upscale homes in Malibu. Their real-estate search unfolded at the same time Joshua Kushner, founder of Thrive Capital, revealed a $12.5 billion transaction to acquire the Los Angeles Lakers with former Disney CEO Bob Iger. The Kushner siblings have previously collaborated on ventures such as the Cadre commercial-real-estate platform, later sold to Yieldstreet, and a joint property called JK2.

Malibu’s appeal to high-net-worth individuals is highlighted by Joshua and Karlie Kloss’s recent $29.5 million purchase of the iconic Wave House near Leo Carrillo State Park. Jared and Ivanka remain based in Miami’s gated Indian Creek island, a community that includes Jeff Bezos, Mark Zuckerberg and other prominent figures. A representative for the couple declined to comment on the house-hunting. The Lakers deal reportedly closed within three days, according to Iger, and the Kushners may be seen at the Crypto arena this fall.
