Jay-Z Stages Mini-Fugees Reunion with Lauryn Hill, Wyclef at London Show

Jay-Z opened his London “Jay-Z30” concert by bringing Lauryn Hill and Wyclef onstage for a brief Fugees reunion, also nodding to local rapper Giggs.

The opening night of Jay-Z’s “Jay-Z30” tour at London’s Tottenham Hotspur Stadium included a special guest segment where Lauryn Hill and Wyclef joined him to perform the 1995 Fugees hit “Ready or Not,” creating a mini-reunion. After the performance, Jay-Z acknowledged South London rapper Giggs, who appeared onstage following a lyrical shout-out. The concert also highlighted Beyoncé, who celebrated her birthday with a re-release of her 2006 album “Bday” and was seated in a private box, though she did not perform.

Earlier in July, his Yankee Stadium shows featured 19 guest artists, including family members and major stars. Future engagements are slated for Paris’s Stade de France on September 10 and Los Angeles’s SoFi Stadium on October 23-24. In addition, Jay-Z will discuss his career in an eight-part HBO series directed by Rick Rubin, set to debut later this year.
