JBL launches Cove line of Wi-Fi speakers for whole-home sound
JBL unveiled the Cove series, a trio of Wi-Fi speakers designed for seamless whole-home audio, available in black or white from September 13.
JBL announced the Cove series, a set of Wi-Fi speakers aimed at delivering uninterrupted whole-home listening without the need to regroup or reset devices. The collection includes the M1, a basic speaker with three tweeters, one woofer and AI sound boost technology priced at $230; the P1, a battery-powered portable unit offering 14-hour runtime and Dolby Atmos integration for $400; and the X1, a high-end model with four tweeters, two woofers and room-filling Dolby Atmos sound at $450.
Users can pair the speakers through the JBL One app and add them to JBL Bar Series MK2 soundbars as rear channels. The devices will be sold in black and white, with sales beginning on September 13, allowing customers to build a modular audio system over time.
Why it matters
The launch marks JBL's entry into the whole-home Wi-Fi speaker market, expanding consumer audio options.
