JD Vance asks voters for another chance after rocky All-In interview

Vice President JD Vance appeared on the All-In podcast and struggled to answer questions about the Iran conflict and rising gas prices, ending with a plea for another chance before the midterms.

JD Vance joined the All-In podcast for a live interview that quickly turned contentious as co-host Jason Calacanis questioned the administration’s involvement in a new war in Iran and the accompanying rise in U.S. fuel prices. Vance avoided a direct admission of fault, arguing that the president’s strategy protects world energy markets despite Iranian attacks, and claimed that withdrawing would trigger a global energy crisis.

He did not address the $100 billion increase in gas spending since the conflict began. Shifting to the upcoming midterm elections, Vance asked voters to grant one outlet leadership another few years, suggesting a choice between continued progress and a return to previous leadership. His remarks, lacking clear policy specifics, were intended to rally support for the party ahead of November’s vote.
