Vance also referenced a 2016 insult directed at Democratic state Rep. Drew Gattine. A July Tulchin Research poll placed Dunlap at 49% and LePage at 48%, while the Cook Political Report sees the seat as a likely Republican pickup following Jared Golden's departure. Vance urged voters to send LePage to Congress.
