Jeff Bezos linked to $69.5 million oceanfront purchase in Golden Beach
A Delaware-registered LLC bought a 17,500-sq-ft oceanfront estate in Golden Beach for $69.5 million, and sources say the buyer is Jeff Bezos.
According to public-record filings, Meridian Coast LLC purchased a 17,500-square-foot oceanfront home in Golden Beach for $69.5 million, marking the highest price ever paid for a single-family residence in the town. Real-estate professionals familiar with the market identify Jeff Bezos as the probable buyer, though his team has not responded to inquiries. The property includes seven bedrooms, 12 bathrooms, a guest house, pool, spa and 100 feet of beachfront, and lies roughly a 30-minute drive from Bezos’s Indian Creek estate, often dubbed the “Billionaire Bunker.”
Industry observers note that high-net-worth buyers frequently use LLCs and trusts to shield their identities, a practice aimed at reducing security risks. The acquisition adds to Bezos’s growing Miami portfolio, which he began building after relocating from Seattle in 2023 to be closer to family and Blue Origin’s Cape Canaveral operations, while also benefiting from Florida’s lack of state income and capital-gains taxes.
Why it matters
The purchase highlights how ultra-wealthy individuals use complex structures to acquire high-value real estate while maintaining privacy.
