Jeff Foxworthy revealed that his latest streaming special, “The Joke’s on Me,” marks a return to the redneck humor that launched his career in the late 1980s. After stopping those jokes around 2003, he decided to revisit them for this project, noting that a single line about “peeing in the pool” still triggers audience reactions. The special, now available on Fox Nation, includes footage of Foxworthy drafting jokes on note cards in a club setting, showing the uncertainty inherent in stand-up comedy.

He cited a Beatles documentary as inspiration for the behind-the-scenes format, which highlights the creative struggle behind each joke. While he suggested the program could be his last major stand-up effort, he affirmed he will continue performing when he chooses. Foxworthy also mentioned preferring to spend more time with his grandchildren and on his tractor rather than touring constantly.
