Jeff Goldblum to Host Opening Episode of SNL U.K. Season Two
Actor Jeff Goldblum will headline the premiere of the second season of “SNL U.K.” on September 12, with Irish singer-songwriter CMAT as the musical guest.
Jeff Goldblum, known for his role in “Jurassic Park,” has been announced as the host for the opening episode of the second season of “SNL U.K.”, scheduled to air on September 12. This marks Goldblum’s third appearance on any version of the sketch show, following two stints as host of the American edition in the 1990s. Irish singer-songwriter CMAT will serve as the musical guest for the premiere, continuing the series’ tradition of featuring contemporary acts after first-season performances by Wet Leg, Wolf Alice and Kasabian.
The returning ensemble includes Hammed Animashaun, Ayoade Bamgboye, Larry Dean, Celeste Dring and several others. Produced by Universal Television Alternative Studio’s U.K. production unit in partnership with Broadway Video, the show airs on Sky and NOW, with Lorne Michaels as executive producer. Six episodes are slated to run weekly until October 24, with further episodes planned for early 2027.
