Jeffrey Soros reveals family fellowship helped launch Abdul El-Sayed's Senate bid

At a discreet gathering in Los Angeles, producer Jeffrey Soros, nephew of billionaire donor George Soros, recounted his long-standing connection to Michigan Senate candidate Abdul El-Sayed. Soros said he introduced El-Sayed to the Paul and Daisy Soros Fellowship for New Americans, which the candidate won in 2012, providing significant financial support for his studies. The fundraiser, limited to invited guests and reportedly allowing donations of up to $57,800, was organized to benefit the Abdul for Michigan Victory Fund.

While El-Sayed has built his campaign around curbing big-money influence, critics argue his ties to the Soros family contradict that message. Both the El-Sayed campaign and the Los Angeles Media Fund, where Soros serves as CEO, declined to comment on the event.
