Jimi Blue Ochsenknecht sentenced to over €34,500 in revived fraud case

German actor Jimi Blue Ochsenknecht was ordered to pay a fine exceeding €34,500 by the Innsbruck Regional Court after a reopened fraud trial.

Jimi Blue Ochsenknecht, known for his acting and music career, received a court-ordered monetary penalty of more than €34,500 in a reopened fraud proceeding at the Innsbruck Regional Court. Prosecutors alleged that after a multi-day birthday celebration in 2021, he failed to pay a hotel invoice of nearly €14,000 in Kirchberg, Tirol, and that the debt persisted for several years. The judge noted that the €18,000 already paid following a 2025 diversion settlement would be credited against the new fine.

Ochsenknecht, the son of veteran actor Uwe Ochsenknecht, was absent from the roughly one-hour trial and faced no obligation to appear. The earlier case had been resolved through a diversion that imposed the €18,000 fine, which he paid in installments. However, the Innsbruck Higher Regional Court later upheld a prosecution appeal, prompting the case’s continuation.

Why it matters

The ruling highlights how courts can revisit settled fraud cases when procedural objections arise.
