Jimmy John's employee charged after shooting teen in leg during restaurant dispute

Investigators report that a dispute at a Jimmy John's restaurant in the 3800 block of Laclede Avenue led to a violent encounter near Vandeventer and Laclede avenues. The teenage girl's mother and several individuals associated with the sandwich shop were involved, and the mother’s boyfriend arrived with the 14-year-old daughter. As the trio drove away, 27-year-old employee Adam White allegedly opened fire into the vehicle’s rear, hitting the girl in her left leg.

Ballistic damage was found on the car’s trunk. White initially fled, later returned, and was arrested after admitting to the shooting and stating he had left his gun at home. He is being held without bond and faces multiple felony counts, including first-degree assault, armed criminal action, unlawful use of a weapon and first-degree child endangerment. The victim was hospitalized in stable condition.
