JNU students file multiple sexual harassment complaints against campus professor
At least ten Jawaharlal Nehru University students have lodged sexual harassment accusations against a professor who lives on campus.
Around ten students from Jawaharlal Nehru University have formally accused a resident professor of sexual harassment, according to university officials. The allegations include invitations to the professor's home for gatherings, sexual advances, and lewd comments made in class. A recent complaint prompted additional senior students to come forward with comparable accusations.
The university’s internal complaints committee is currently investigating the matter. The vice-chancellor, Santishree Dhulipudi Pandit, clarified that the committee, not the VC office, deals with such cases. The professor has stated he is unaware of any complaints and calls the allegations false.
