Jobs most resistant to AI disruption and their salary outlook
A new ranking identifies occupations that are least vulnerable to automation, highlighting required skills and pay levels.
In response to growing concerns about AI's impact on the labour market, the Lift lab at HEC conducted a detailed study of more than 1,500 jobs, assessing each task for its susceptibility to algorithmic replacement. The resulting list spotlights occupations that depend on human qualities such as listening, empathy, creativity, intuition and on-site interaction, which machines struggle to replicate. France Travail data shows that most of these roles are experiencing strong hiring activity.
The report also includes typical salary ranges for the identified professions and offers guidance from experts on how individuals can navigate career choices amid rapid AI advancement. The findings were discussed by Arthur Mensch, CEO of Mistral AI, during a recent radio interview about youth anxiety over future employment prospects.
