He was succeeded by Ryan Gallagher, who threw four innings of six-hit, one-run ball and collected the win. St. Paul built an early lead when Aaron Sabato hit a three-run homer in the first inning, his 23rd of the season, trailing the franchise Triple-A record by one.

Cody Morrissette added his 13th three-run shot, and Emmanuel Rodriguez contributed an 11th homer, going 4-for-5 with two RBIs and three runs scored. The Saints finished with an 11-2 victory, posting 12 hits overall, and will face Omaha again the next day with Ricky Castro slated to start.
