Joint security forces eliminate terrorist in Budgam, continue manhunt
Indian Army, J&K Police and CRPF killed a terrorist during a joint operation in Budgam district and are still searching for another suspect.
Intelligence reports indicated a group of terrorists traveling from Pakherpora in Pulwama district toward Yousmarg in Budgam. In response, the Indian Army, Jammu and Kashmir Police and the Central Reserve Police Force conducted a coordinated operation in the Ashdar Gali area of Budgam district. The forces spotted suspicious activity, challenged the individuals and, after being fired upon, engaged in a gun battle that resulted in the death of one terrorist and the seizure of an AK rifle.
The identity of the slain individual has not yet been confirmed. A search continues in the vicinity for another suspected terrorist believed to be hiding nearby. The operation was announced on the Chinar Corps' official X account.
