Joshua claims Saudi backer and Netflix are steering his bout with Fury toward a US win

Anthony Joshua says Saudi boxing chief Turki Alalshikh and Netflix want him to lose to Tyson Fury as the fight moves to Cardiff instead of New York.

Anthony Joshua expressed suspicion that Saudi boxing chief Turki Alalshikh and Netflix are working to ensure Tyson Fury wins the upcoming clash. After a press conference, Joshua highlighted that the fight, originally expected in New York’s Madison Square Garden, will instead be staged at Cardiff’s Principality Stadium, a change Alalshikh says will cost him $70 million in revenue. Eddie Hearn warned Joshua that his insistence on a UK venue means an eight-figure reduction in his purse.

Fury, who has a documentary series with Netflix, seems less concerned about the location and more aligned with Alalshikh’s preferences. Joshua also referenced Dana White’s involvement, noting that while he has no personal issue with White, he remains loyal to Hearn. He concluded by threatening to “stomp” anyone trying to sabotage his performance.
