JSW Energy and JSW Steel to Issue Around ₹2,850 crore in Bonds
JSW Energy and JSW Steel plan to raise roughly ₹1,500 crore and ₹1,350 crore respectively through medium-term bonds between October and December.
JSW Energy and JSR Steel, both part of the JSW conglomerate, intend to raise a total of approximately ₹2,850 crore through bond offerings scheduled for the October-December window. JSW Energy’s target is about ₹1,500 crore via bonds with maturities of up to five years, and JSW Steel seeks roughly ₹1,350 crore through three- or four-year instruments. The issuances depend on favorable interest rates, according to unnamed bankers.
JSW Energy’s bonds carry an "AA" rating from India Ratings, and the company already has about ₹2,500 crore of outstanding bonds. JSW Steel holds an "AA+" rating from ICRA and India Ratings, with existing debt exceeding ₹6,100 crore. Neither company responded to requests for comment.
