Judge denies temporary release for pregnant inmate Grace Kelley, hospital transport arranged

Grace Kelley is incarcerated at Rockingham County Jail in Harrisonburg, Virginia, on a fifteen-month term after a guilty plea to a felony driving with a suspended or revoked license. Her attorneys sought a temporary furlough on July 2 so she could give birth, but a judge denied the request about two weeks later. Kelley previously gave birth to her daughter Kaliyah in April 2022 while on a leave of absence from jail. The child now lives on Wynonna Judd’s Tennessee farm, and court documents note Kelley has no contact with her biological family in Tennessee. Kelley’s release is set for Nov. 16, after which she will be placed on five years of supervised probation.
