Judge Judy to retire from TV and launch son’s courtroom series

Judy Sheindlin, known as Judge Judy, confirmed that she will end her televised judging career when “Judy Justice” concludes on October 22. In a recent interview, she explained she no longer wants to handle hair and makeup but still wishes to convey her message, so she will shift to producing a new syndicated small-claims series called “Adam’s Law.” The show will feature her son Adam Levy, 58, who graduated from Hofstra Law School, served as a district attorney in Putnam County, and recently appeared on Prime Video’s “Tribunal Justice.”

Sheindlin praised his ability to carry an unscripted half-hour and said he is ready for the role. Her daughter Sarah Rose will remain on “Judy Justice” as a law clerk, while Sheindlin reflected on her long career, which began in 1996 and earned multiple Daytime Emmy Awards. The new program is slated to debut on September 14, continuing the family’s courtroom television legacy.
