JustWatch TV launches AVOD service with 30 new content partners across 11 markets
JustWatch Group introduced its ad-supported streaming platform, JustWatch TV, adding 30 major partners including Cineverse, Leonine Studios, SND and Altitude.
JustWatch Group rolled out its advertising-based video on demand platform, JustWatch TV, on Tuesday, extending its reach to eleven countries across North America, Europe, Oceania and the UK. The service aggregates content from thirty major partners, with Cineverse handling U.S. titles, Leonine Studios covering Germany, SND representing France, and Altitude supplying the United Kingdom and Ireland, while previously announced partners such as Paramount, New Regency, Fremantle, Bleecker Street and Vortex Media also contribute.
Founder and CEO David Croyé described the launch as the most significant development in the company’s twelve-year evolution, emphasizing the goal of helping users discover hard-to-find movies and series directly within the app. Users can choose between free ad-supported viewing, rentals or ad-free subscriptions, and the platform includes a “Why to Watch” feature that leverages audience data to suggest content. The service is accessible via the existing JustWatch apps and website, leveraging the brand’s existing audience of 50 million global consumers.
Why it matters
The launch expands free, ad-supported streaming options and gives users a single hub to discover a wider range of movies and series.
