Recent FEC filings reveal Democrats in Texas raised $68.6 million with $21.6 million cash on hand, while Republicans collected $9.2 million and hold $1.8 million; in Georgia, Democrats amassed $98 million and retain $42.6 million versus Republican totals of $7.4 million raised and $2.1 million on hand.

Across the nine most competitive Senate contests, Democrats out-fundraised Republicans in seven races and hold a larger cash cushion overall. Rove emphasized that while fundraising isn’t a guarantee of victory, the tight contests in Texas (James Talarico vs. Ken Paxton) and Georgia (Jon Ossoff vs. Mike Collins) could be decided by the size of each campaign’s war chest. He also pointed out that Republicans claim a financial edge only in four races, with Iowa and Maine showing modest leads. Ultimately, Rove warned that the post-Labor Day push will test whether money can tip the balance in Trump’s favor.
