Karnataka worker's body found dismembered in Sharjah; family says wife and son missing
A man from Udupi district who worked in the UAE was found dead, his body cut into nine pieces, and his wife and son have not been located.
Alwin, a resident of Kundapur in Karnataka's Udupi district, vanished while working in Sharjah in July, with his last messages indicating he was unwell. On August 12, his dismembered body was found in the boot of his abandoned Toyota on a road toward Oman, reportedly sliced into nine pieces and placed in two bags after a chest stabbing. DNA testing, using a sample from his son employed by Nestlé, confirmed his identity, and the family has received a death certificate but not the FIR.
Attempts to contact his wife, Tina Kundar, a Dubai schoolteacher, and their son have failed, and CCTV footage allegedly shows two men and a woman handling luggage at their apartment. The brother has lodged missing-person reports in Sharjah and complaints with Udupi police, while officials say no official confirmation has been received from Sharjah Police or the Indian diplomatic mission.
