KB Home launches Sandstone, its biggest North Las Vegas community in a decade
KB Home announced the opening of the first phase of its Sandstone development in North Las Vegas, offering homes starting in the $300,000 range.
KB Home has opened the first sales phase of Sandstone, a new residential community in North Las Vegas covering almost 300 acres near the 215 Beltway-North Fifth Street interchange. The development plans call for more than 1,500 homes, including one- and two-story single-family houses and two-story townhouses, alongside parks, trails, basketball and pickleball courts. Units are priced from the $300,000 range, contrasting with a July median new-home price of about $535,000 across Southern Nevada, according to Home Builders Research.
The land, purchased for about $91 million in late 2024, represents KB Home’s largest Southern Nevada project in a decade, according to division president Jim McDade. He described Sandstone as an opportunity for attainable homeownership in a highly desirable setting. The broader market saw a 28 percent month-to-month rise in builder sales in July, though overall activity remains below last year’s levels.
