Keenan Allen joins Colts practice, eyes starting role on the outside
One day after signing with Indianapolis, Keenan Allen participated in the Colts' joint practice with the Atlanta Falcons, wearing No. 10.
Keenan Allen reported to the Indianapolis Colts practice field a day after finalizing a one-year contract, donning the number 10 jersey. He took part in warm-ups and then joined the starters during the 11-on-11 drills of the team's second joint session with the Atlanta Falcons. Familiarity with head coach Shane Steichen and the offensive scheme is expected to help him integrate quickly. Coaches anticipate Allen will start on the outside opposite Alec Pierce, with Josh Downs in the slot.
Why it matters
Allen's rapid integration could boost the Colts' receiving corps for the upcoming season.
