Kentucky couple jailed after infant dies choking on dirty diaper in filthy garage
A 22-year-old man and his partner have been incarcerated after a one-year-old boy died from choking on a contaminated diaper while living in a trash-filled garage in Kentucky.
Authorities in Allen County have taken Deavan Williams and Alexandrae Price into custody following the death of their 1-year-old son, who choked on a dirty diaper in a garage riddled with urine, trash cans, and animal waste. Court documents reveal Williams was the sole adult supervising the child on July 27 when the fatal incident occurred, and he admitted the infant had previously consumed feces-contaminated diapers. The garage, described as lacking air conditioning and ventilation, housed the child’s playpen directly on a floor coated with sewage, cat urine, and decomposing animals.
Medical examination showed suspicious trauma, including mouth bleeding and bruises. Investigators also found the parents bathed the baby with an outdoor hose and fed him extremely spicy foods, despite warnings from Price. Both suspects are detained at the Allen County Detention Center and are scheduled to appear in court on August 12.
