Kenya reports first Ebola case as patient dies in Nairobi

Kenya's health ministry announced its first Ebola case after a Kenyan citizen who had been living in the Democratic Republic of Congo died in Nairobi. The man became symptomatic about a month before traveling through Uganda and arriving in Kenya. Health officials have identified 28 contacts, including family members and medical staff, who are being kept under a 21‑day quarantine. In addition, authorities are tracing 23 passengers from the same flight. The ministry says containment measures are in place while investigations continue.
