Kerala Police partners with Cyble for three-year cybercrime intelligence boost

Kerala Police has signed a three-year MoU with cybersecurity firm Cyble to receive threat intelligence, investigative assistance and training against ransomware, phishing and AI-driven fraud.

Kerala Police entered a three-year memorandum of understanding with Cyble, an AI-native cybersecurity company, to enhance its cybercrime investigations. The MoU, signed via Cyble’s Indian arm Cyble Infosec India Private Limited, aims to equip the state's Cyber Operations Wing and Cyberdome with timely threat intelligence on ransomware, phishing, AI-enabled fraud and other digital threats. Cyble will supply intelligence on stolen credentials, data leaks, ransomware activity and impersonation of government brands, and will grant no-cost evaluation access to its platforms.

The collaboration includes training for police officers in open-source intelligence and dark-web techniques, as well as joint research into deepfakes, mule-account networks and investment scams. Both sides will also run public awareness initiatives to educate citizens about evolving cyber risks. The partnership reflects a proactive approach by Kerala Police to strengthen cyber policing capabilities.

Why it matters

The deal gives Indian law enforcement advanced tools to combat growing cyber threats targeting citizens and institutions.
